Infants & Toddlers
Children are naturally drawn to water, and introducing them to swimming early helps them learn quickly while preventing any fear of the water from developing. Our Parent & Me program, tailored for children aged 3 months to 3 years, offers a unique opportunity for parents and their little ones to take their first steps toward lifelong swimming proficiency—together. Yes, you’ll join your child in the water!
During each 30-minute session, our specially trained instructors guide you through fun and engaging exercises that are both entertaining and educational for your child. The program focuses on teaching essential swimming skills such as buoyancy, propulsion, and breath control, which are foundational to water safety and swimming.
Beyond skill development, this program provides valuable bonding time. Many psychologists highlight the benefits of undivided attention and skin-to-skin contact, which can strengthen the parent-child relationship. The Parent & Me program ensures these moments are both meaningful and enjoyable.
With over 15 years of experience, KIDS FIRST® Swim Schools have trained more infants and toddlers than any other institution in the Mid-Atlantic region, welcoming over 100,000 families into our programs. Start your child on the path to swimming success today! Let’s make their first steps in the water a wonderful experience.
Mommy (or Daddy) & Me (infants and toddlers)
Our beginner-level program invites Mom or Dad to join their infant or toddler in the water at the earliest opportunity. By nurturing a child’s natural affinity for water, we focus on building essential skills like buoyancy, propulsion, and breath control. As one of the nation’s premier swim programs, KIDS FIRST® takes pride in fostering a love for swimming and laying the foundation for a lifetime of water safety and confidence.
Private Instruction (2 years to adults)
This program provides individualized training for swimmers at beginner to intermediate levels. With the guidance of a personal instructor, children gradually advance through skill levels while building balance, confidence, and essential swimming techniques. After each 30-minute lesson, children are encouraged to stay and practice independently for an additional half hour, reinforcing their progress in a supportive environment.
